GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Account Manager is responsible for supporting the Risk Advisor and/or Account Executive with daily service requests and retaining accounts. The Account Manager essential functions includes handling policy inquiries, service requests, changes, quotes and billing inquiries.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the Risk Advisor and/or Account Executive with servicing business and retaining accounts.
  • Responsible for independently handling client service requests and mid-level service issues.
  • Develops relationships with clients and responds to client request in a timely manner.
  • May service small business accounts.
  • Quotes new lines of business and remarkets existing business.
  • Assists team with the renewal process.
  • Refers current clients to other services within to Hummel Group.
  • Assists clients with making coverage changes. Determines if delayed or advanced billing is appropriate and invoices accordingly.
  • Reviews clients account with them upon each contact to ensure account is up-to-date and no other services are needed.
  • Identifies exposure to loss and recommends appropriate coverages to client or relays to Account Executive/Risk Advisor to review with client.
  • May specialize in niche market.
  • Mentors new account managers or assistant account managers.
  • Manages customer activity with AMS360 and ImageRight for maximum efficiency and accurate documentation and follow-up.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education or Experience

  • Two-years previous experience in Commercial Insurance Accounts preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must obtain a state property and casualty licensure and maintain ongoing education requirements.
  • Must have a current driver license and an insurable driving record.

Hummel Group is an independent insurance agency with 6 locations in Ohio and Indiana. Our growing commercial team is seeking a full-time Performance Bonds Specialist to join our team.

As a Performance Bonds Specialist, you will:

  • Analyze client financial statements and contracts to find suitable bonding solutions.
  • Work with clients and surety companies to establish bond lines.
  • Work with clients and surety companies to process and issue performance bonds.
  • Manage existing client relationships in tandem with Risk Advisor
  • Actively pursue new client opportunities in tandem with Risk Advisor.

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Benefits Account Executive works closely with prospective clients during all phases of the sales process. Responsible for nurturing and growing existing client relationships and managing escalated service issues.

  • Facilitates termination of prior plan when new business is written, or coverage is moved.
  • Provides a level of service to that promotes a high level of account retention. Handles escalated service requests.
  • Oversees the renewal/remarketing process in conjunction with Risk Advisor and Account Manager including RFPs, FormFire, and finalizing renewal paperwork.
  • Looks for upsell opportunities with existing business.
  • Documents client interactions and provides follow-up to operational team.
  • Supports and adheres to agency goals and objectives to place and retain business with our key companies.
  • Supports and adheres to procedures to minimize the agency’s error and omission exposure.

REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge, Skills & Ability

  • Ability to recognize and recommend problems or solutions to data entry procedures.

  • Processes and submits claims to insurance carriers while following documentation guidelines.
  • Creates submissions for marketing purposes for the commercial department.
  • Completes online quotes with various carriers for Select Business clients.
  • Manages customer activity with AMS360 and ImageRight for maximum efficiency and accurate documentation and follow-up.
  • Assists with indexing policy documents from insurance carriers.
  • Processes inbound and outbound mail each afternoon for delivery to the Post Office.

  • Completes routine audits of Human Resources files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
